This Is a Limited Warranty

  • Manufacturing defects that render the product unusable for its intended purpose are covered for 10 years from the date of purchase.

    Structural integrity of load-bearing components (handle-to-blade or handle-to-tool joints) is guaranteed under intended use and within the rated capacity stated on the product label or in product documentation.

    For bladed products: chipping and edge damage are not covered under warranty — see our Care & Maintenance instructions for sharpening guidance.

    Normal wear and damage from misuse (including use beyond the product's intended purpose or stated task guidelines) are not covered.

    This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary by state.

DBx Sharpen Angles & Protocols

Sharpening protocol chart: hand sharpen 15-20 degrees off parallel with diamond stones, 180-600 grit. Tough foods like sweet potatoes: thumb side 10 degrees, finger side 34 degrees, 180-325 grit. No carbide pull-through sharpeners.
Specialty grind protocols: brittle foods (carrots, radish): thumb 10 degrees, finger 24 degrees, 180-325 grit. Dry cured meats and fish (pepperoni, salmon): thumb 10 degrees, finger 20 degrees, 325-600 grit. No carbide pull-through sharpeners.
